Psychological Assessments

We offer a variety of different assessments for children and adults. These include, but are not limited to:

  • For children (aged 2+) and adults.

    Helps to identify if you, your child or young person is on the Autism spectrum.

    Assessment includes:

    • screening tools.

    • comprehensive background history.

    • Specific observations and interview with child or young person.

    • comprehensive clinical interview with parents or carers.

    • additional tools based on presentation.

    • Input from school/ preschool.

  • For children (aged 5+) and adults.

    Brief and comprehensive assessment options available.

    Both brief and comprehensive ADHD assessments include:

    • Screening tools.

    • Comprehensive background history.

    • ADHD-specific structured clinical interview.

    • Feedback session and report with recommendations.

    Comprehensive ADHD assessments also include:

    • Cognitive testing.

    • Attentional measure.

    • Additional tools based on presentation.

    • Input from school and/or workplace.

  • Children (aged 6+) and adults.

    Provides insights into cognitive strengths and challenges.

    Includes:

    • Clinical interview.

    • Cognitive testing using Wechsler scales.

    • Assessment of adaptive functioning.

    • Additional screening tools (as indicated).

    • Liaison with schools and relevant professionals.

    • Feedback session and written report with individualized recommendations.

     

  • Children (aged 4+) and adults.

    Identifies specific learning differences and supports educational planning and supports.

    Includes:

    • Interview and history-taking.

    • Cognitive and academic testing.

    • Additional screening (as appropriate).

    • School collaboration and teacher input.

    • Feedback session and detailed report with learning profiles and practical strategies.

  • Children (6+) & adults

    Looks at how someone manages everyday life at home, school, work, and in the community — focusing on strengths, support needs, and practical adjustments.

    Helpful for:
    NDIS access & planning • school supports • workplace accommodations

    Includes:

    • Interview & functional history

    • Everyday living & independence skills assessment

    • Standardised functional / adaptive measures

    • Input from family, school, or supports (as needed)

    • Collaboration with relevant professionals

    • Feedback session

    • Clear report with practical, NDIS-ready recommendations

Assessment Process

1. Contact Us

2. Complete Questionnaires

Fill out online questionnaires and forms. Share school reports or previous reports.

3. Initial Interview

Meet with psychologist to discuss history, development, abilities, strengths, concerns etc.

Duration: 1-2 hours.

4. Assessment Session

In-person assessment session and observations. Accommodations, environmental adjustments, sensory tools and breaks welcome.

Duration: 2- 5hrs.

5. Feedback and Report

2-3 weeks later the psychologist will explain assessment results, reccomendations for suppport and provide detailed report.

Duration: 1 hour

Do you need a referral?

No referral needed. Self-referrals welcome. Involve your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist if desired.
